If you follow the latest information and the last series of events, you will see that the instigators of this criminal case leveled against me are now in doubt as to whether they can convince the judge and the jury of my guilt. And now, because of the absence of solid evidence, they have resorted to using any means possible, cheap internet resources included in order to try and implicate and ultimately incriminate me in this case.
About a week ago internet news resources published “sensational” news based on the revelations of “an anonymous source” about the millions that Sunday Adelaja has in foreign banks. Information about me having million accounts in UBS, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Goldman Sachs, and other banks, just made me laugh, - you have to agree with me it is a good find considering the current economic conditions that is prevalent in our country! I wonder at such despicable lies which people regard as news today! It is therefore not surprising that whoever wrote that article preferred to remain anonymous.
On the 4th of September 2001 at 16:44 the head of the so called “Information Agency” of the “Civil Prosecutor’s Office” (Grazhdanskaya Prokuratura) published a piece of news: “There are almost fifteen million US dollars in the accounts of Sunday Adelaja in five foreign banks…”(http://prokuratura.org.ua/?p=5321). Then another information agency, “Region Kiev Media” re-published this same news with a reference to that by the “Civil Prosecutor’s Office”, at 13.46 of the same day. Forget the fact that this was three hours earlier than the primary source (http://rkm.kiev.ua/novosti-kieva-i-oblasti/37406/). This same article was re-published at 13:50 in “Globalist” (http://globalist.org.ua/shorts/78604.html)
Well, one can only praise such efficient work by the journalists!
I think that any sane individual will see through all that is being done given these facts.
It is not a surprise therefore that these journalists or so called sources of information in all these publications prefer to remain anonymous. This includes the police and even some members of the Embassy of God church that have agreed to bear false witness against me. I won’t even be surprised if in their next publication, I myself am referred to as their “secret informer”! For obvious reasons no journalist who thinks something of themselves would call these “agencies” a source! Probably, that is why such absurd lies were not published or re-published by any of the decent editions.
But it is just good news for me. The instigators realize that the criminal case they have been trying to raise against me during the last several years looks quite unconvincing before the court, and that is why they have resorted to any means possible even to the point of buying the “yellow” information agencies.
How they probably want to crucify me judging from the extent that they are prepared to go.
I openly challenge you, “Pravda of Ukraine” («Правда Украины») and other “news agencies” mentioned above. You want fame? You want a sensation? Today I am giving you a chance to become famous!
I openly claim: if you find the millions that belong to me in all those banks (obviously, it is going to be very easy for you to do that, considering that you have already “proved” that I have 15 of them), you can put me in jail – I give myself up for the People’s Court.
Concerning the “pastor’s former accountant” who supposedly issued these “facts” in an interview…Find this accountant! And if he doesn’t exist, think him up. I am prepared for a public confrontation with him on any TV channel and I am even prepared to undergo a lie detector test on live broadcast. If you are so confident that there is even the smallest element of truth in your publications, then why not use this opportunity to prove it?
“Journalism” without dignity amounts toabsolute nonsense: “More than 200 000 dollars came from a small town Vishnevoye per month”. That is approximately 3 million per year that were supposedly transferred to me. This is despite the fact that the annual budget of the whole town amounts to about 6-7 million dollars? How absurd is that!
The current on goings and the governments “Modus Operandi” is a well known practice in law enforcement circles: i.e. to resort to blackmail and negative PR in the absence of any real evidence in a bid to cause a stir and ultimately soil a man’s reputation in the society. The government is looking for any opportunity to tarnish the image and reputation of Pastor Sunday Adelaja; an image and reputation that he has judiciously kept pure before God. At the beginning of the 20thcentury Goebbels said: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”. Today this strategy is being implemented.
But, who is the man at the centre of all this controversy? Who is Pastor Sunday Adelaja?
I am a simple and usual person who experienced God’s mercy and salvation early in life. I am keen to share it with all people so that they can get to know about the living God and also serve Him. I am a person who strives to give everything in ministry to God and people sparing neither strength nor resources so as to see people come to the faith in Jesus Christ.
I am a person who serves God and the Ukrainian nation with all my heart, and I am sure this is the foundation of my good name. In Ukraine, I have done my best to see souls destroyed by sin restored and broken families reunited again. Ukraine is the land that I love whole-heartedly and it is for this sake that I have been serving the people and the nation all this time.
I declare and declare again, if there are only two righteous people in Ukraine, I am one of them and I know that the current lawsuit around this case involving the company called “King’s Capital” will prove it.
But even if the Ukrainian judiciary refuses to allow justice prevail and decides not to prove my moral rectitude and guiltlessness; I stand confident of the Divine justice that lies in front. This is the judgment that can never be mistaken and that never fails. It is one that knows everything that is happening in secret, and in time will put everything right and vindicate those that walk uprightly.
