“Sunday Adelaja is an honest man!”, “We believe in the fairness of the Ukrainian judiciary!”, “We want to trust the Ukrainian justice system!”, “Pastor, we love you!”, “We trust Pastor Sunday”. These were the words that were chanted by the members of the Embassy of God Church as Pastor Sunday Adelaja arrived at his court hearing on the 20 of October 2011.
At the court house, one could see members of the Embassy of God Church both from Kyiv and from other cities of Ukraine. Also present were the representatives of the African Diaspora in Ukraine, young people from the “Progressive youth of Ukraine” NGO as well as representatives from all the Ukrainian Union of NGOs called “Youth! Community! Power!”
A 50-meter banner complete with the testimonies of the people, whose lives have been drastically changed, thanks to Pastor Sunday’s activities, has become unshakeable and provides full evidence that the Pastor is indeed a blessing to Ukraine.
The court session finished not having started just like the previous times. This time it was due to the absence of a translator and the barrister of the defending team – A. Safonov.
“If these people cannot organize their own barristers in the court, then how can they manage a whole organization?”commented the head of the Embassy of God Church Council, Pastor Adrei Kuksenko on the situation.
On his exit from the court, Pastor Sunday was stopped by journalists who had been waiting for him. And when asked “Aren’t you sick and tired of coming here just to learn that the court session has been postponed yet again?” The Pastor replied saying,
“I have been coming here and I will continue to do so until the court restores my good name. I have paid quite a high price enduring undeserved insults, abuse, slander, and ungrounded accusations, which have now spread all over Ukraine. There can be no higher price. Therefore, I am determined to come here as often as is necessary so as to prove that Sunday Adelaja is a blessing to Ukraine, and not a curse; to prove to everyone that I am not a thief, nor a fraud. On the contrary, I have done good to thousands, and may be millions of people. This is why I will do everything in my power to make sure my name is “cleared”.
On behalf of Pastor Sunday and Pastor Bose, we would like to thank everyone, who came on 20 October to render their support, loyalty, and respect!
The next court session on the King’s Capital case will be held on the 2nd of November at 5 Koshytsa Street, Kyiv, Ukraine and will commence at 12 pm prompt.
God bless you!
